You know those days when it's really ridiculously cold and you just want to pop outside for 30 seconds and take your pictures except there are all kinds of neighbors wandering outside with their dogs (with whom your child is obsessed), and not just random neighbors you don't know, but neighbors you see regularly and thus cannot bring yourself to take pictures in front of? No? Well now you do.

You should know, however, that without my crazy picture loitering skillz, I wouldn't have particularly awesome pictures like the ones below (it was also the day that I ran out to pick up my friends from the emergency room, so there was no makeup or jewelry to be had).

(creepy stalker look, anyone?)

(Why, hello, friendly neighbor...)

Oh - and some Little Facts!
Little Facts

Pet Peeve: When people talk on the phone while with others in person. Drive me bonkers.
Food: Lately? Homemade tomato soup and blueberries. Also, oranges (which is odd because I never used to love them).
Guaranteed Happy: Good grammar (absurd run-on sentence in the above post notwithstanding). It made me ridiculously happy that the express lane sign at the Trader Joe's in Philly said "10 items or fewer."

  1. I will poke my head outside and see if there's any neighbors lurking before I take photos, but alas I've been busted a few times by neighbors that happened to drive up at that very moment, sigh.

    Homemade tomato soup sounds delicious!

  2. Red pants! I need a pair of colored pants - I think I want some hot pink cropped ones!
    You look cute!

  3. Love all the color in your outfits. I really need to branch out more like that. I do the old, "let me see the picture on the camera" trick when a neighbor drives by. I'm pretty sure they know what I'm up to by now.

  4. Love these colors together!

  5. Omg I am in love with your trousers! What a fabulous color.
Yep, I think I want some red trousers myself now!
Thanks for stopping by mine earlier....following your lovely blog as well.

  6. love love love this outfit!!! and you look great without make up or jewelry! hope your friend is okay!

  7. Pet Peeve! Yes! I totally consider it being rude when you're with me but answer the phone beyond: hey, can I call you back?

I haven't got the courage yet to take pics outside, or of my outfits in progress. I already have a monologue of what my neighbors might think seeing me pose in front of a tripod :)

  8. You know, I suspect we have a LOT in common, my dear! I really hate it when people have conversations with anybody EXCEPT the person they are in the room texting or calling while you're talking to me, please :) And I totally agree about grammer. I'm such a word addict and love finding good grammar in places I don't expect it.

  9. Cute outfit and homemade tomato soup sounds sooo good!

  10. Oh, Preethi! You're so funny. I love that I get a daily dose of wit in addition to the fashion when I read your posts.

By the way, I wholeheartedly agree with your pet peeves. It drives me nuts when people say something along the lines of, 'Her three-year-old talks really good.' The three-year-old might, but you don't. (Don't worry, I never actually say that.)

You look great in this outfit!

  11. First of all, I love the colors in this outfit! Secondly, I loved reading your little facts! Definitely agree with you on that pet peeve. Some people just don't know phone etiquette. And that grammar thing is hilarious! My husband is always correcting people on their grammar.

  12. Oooh, love the mix of bright red and pale yellow <3
    You look amazing!
Also, great little facts. I totally agree with your pet peeve. Its absolutely ridiculous how much we ignore the people we're with to talk on the phone.

  13. love yellow and red together! you look great!
