I have one kiddo in particular who has always been extremely picky about how clothing fits and feels. We tried out these undies a few years ago and since then, they are the ONLY ones he’ll wear. Crude Skincare

Nearly 5 years ago, I heard about an oil cleanser – it had rave reviews for cleansing but not drying skin, and keeping skin clear. I tend to have drier facial skin so I gave it a try and…I was BLOWN away. It basically eliminated all blemishes (I could count on two hands the number I’ve had in that entire time) and is so gentle. Plus, it smells like a spa every time I wash my face. I especially love it for travel because it serves double duty as a moisturizer, too. There aren’t that many kid products that we’ve used for a dozen years, but the Ride Safer Vests are one of them. We first purchased one when our oldest was only 3 years old and have been major fans ever since! These safety belt positioner vests serve the same purpose as a booster and are just as safe, but work for much younger ages/weights, are better for wiggly kids, and are super lightweight and packable.

Scrubba Wash Bag

We love this portable washing machine that folds up so small – it’s incredible for packing light even when we don’t have access to a washing machine. It gets clothes SO much cleaner than just washing in the sink and is perfect if we need to do a quick load of undies or wash some dirty kiddo clothing.

Merry Bells

This might actually be my kids’ favorite thing about the holidays. This bell set is just so FUN! We got a second set last year so we can have friends join in. We’ve had bells before, but these are so EASY and fun for the whole family – it’s basically paint-by-number, but with bells. REI Favorites

While not a small business, we do love that REI is a co-op and also provides a platform for so many of our favorite smaller businesses! It’s our go-to for quality, all-season gear for the entire family. We’ve passed many items down through many of our children and it’s the first place we check for any outdoorsy needs. Here are our top 10 REI favorites:

  • Foldable lightweight duffel – if you’ve been around a while, you know I LOVE this thing – folds small and is really lightweight, but super sturdy and roomy when opened. We’ve checked it in for flights many times (usually on the way home to bring home food souvenirs, or to put car seats in) and it’s held up perfectly.
  • My favorite packing cubes – I’ve tried a LOT of packing cubes and these are the best hands down. Expandable, sturdy zippers, they’re awesome. (I personally don’t like compression cubes because they’re such a pain to close back up each time.)
  • Kid backpacks – forever and always our favorites. We use these for travel, hiking, tennis lessons, carry snacks when exploring London, etc etc. It’s the perfect size for me to carry on an outing, too. We also love the 12L size for our youngest. Pair with a waterproof backpack cover – a couple of my kiddos keep these on their school backpacks, too!
  • Our favorite travel towels – the ribbing make them so comfortable. Plus, they’re so absorbent and dry super quickly.
  • Filter water bottle – we love this one because it doesn’t require sucking through a filter straw (super difficult for little ones and some adults, ahem) and is super sturdy. We fill it and decant into other water bottles and it works great.
  • Keen Kid Shoes – from hiking boots to water sandals, Keens are our favorite outdoors shoes for our kiddos. Great quality, versatile for different activities and weather (yay for waterproof boots!), and comfy fit.
  • Osprey Poco Child Hiking Carrier – love it’s roomy storage and super comfortable fit that adjusts for various bodies
  • Emergency satellite GPS device – a MUST if you’ll be hiking or if you’re traveling in remote areas. Saved us when our RV broke down in Canada!
