Each year, our family loves learning about some other amazing holidays and traditions around the world alongside our own celebrations of Christmas and Diwali. I love the festivity and joy during this season! It’s such a special way to help my kids learn to appreciate others’ beliefs alongside their own.

I love working with a designer each year to put together an easy, fun, coloring advent activity. This year’s winter holidays around the world advent has 24 simple prompts to learn about holidays, traditions, & winter activities in Japan, from Shogatsu (New Year’s) to a romantic Christmas Eve. The short prompts are perfect for families to experience the diversity of celebrations, cultures, and faiths in Japan during this time of year. It’s the perfect easy holiday activity for kids!

This year, I worked with Tara of Rad & Happy to create this absolutely stunning printable for families – I’ve admired her work for years and this printable is absolutely darling! There are so many beautiful details, from iconic landmarks and transport to festive overlays. I love it so much.
