Sweater season is my favorite, and I love a cheerful and bright one as the days get bleaker. A colorful and bright pullover for fall travel outfits is a staple for me!

I recently purchased this gorgeous red pullover with pink embroidery and fell in love. It’s SO soft – not itchy at all – and warm but not bulky, which makes it perfect for travel. It drapes and moves really well, so it’s perfect for exploring, and is easy to dress up or down. I love wool, especially for travel, since it doesn’t need to be washed frequently – this particular one is a blend so it is warm and versatile and really soft.

Here are a few other gorgeous bright pullover options:

Here are some great fall travel outfits I put together with this colorful sweater!

Bright Pullover + Straight Jeans + Belt Bag + White Sneakers + Bandana

This is my uniform during fall whether traveling or at home! Comfy and cozy but still put together and cute. I love the bandana as an easy, fun accessory that adds zero packing bulk and is functional for keeping my hair out of my eyes.

This outfit would be my go-to for heading to a big playground, amusement park, or some other very casual activity. This pullover also works well to tie around the waist if it gets warm.

The belt bag is also really versatile and holds a ton, including a fold out diaper changing pad and wipes pocket if you have a baby along.

Bright Pullover + Olive Pants + Denim Jacket + Loafers + Crossbody

This outfit toes the line between super casual and a little nicer, which I love. I included my favorite olive pants (lots more fall olive pant ideas here) and loafers to make it a bit less “running to the park” like the outfit above, and great for walking around a city or stopping in a cute cafe, while the denim jacket still keeps it casual and fun. I adore this crossbody and have used and loved it for years – it’s perfect for having enough room for my phone, wallet, keys, and a few other essentials but not looking bulky.

Bright Pullover + Easy Care Skirt + White Sneakers + Belt Bag

I love the mix of fallish colors in this outfit – bright red + olive green feel so autumnal to me. The white sneakers keeps it looking fresh and grounded, although you could easily dress it up a bit by adding tights and ankle boots. I also super love this skirt because it’s REALLY lightweight and great for packing, dries in a flash, and has zippered (!!) pockets!

Bright Pullover + Patterned Pants + Blouse + Loafers + Crossbody

I love that this outfit can easily work for nicer or more casual occasions. The loafers and pretty blouse keep it looking a bit more professional and while the pants have a nice fit and drape, are super comfortable with an elastic waistband and pockets. The bright pullover adds some needed color and fun!

Bright Pullover + Navy Dress + Neutral Ankle Boots + Boot Socks + Wristlet

This outfit is a great option when you need to dress up a bit when traveling but want items that are functional and versatile for casual occasions, as well. I love this dress because it’s super comfortable, flattering, has pockets, and is breastfeeding-friendly. The pullover looks great layered over the top or draped over the shoulders, and the wristlet is perfect for a really streamlined, cute solution for keeping track of hotel keys and metro cards.

I love adding these little lace boot socks with these shoes, but if it’s cooler, I’d go for some warm tights. And this key & card wristlet is the best – it makes a really streamlined, cute solution for keeping track of hotel keys & metro cards. Perfect when running around while traveling!

Are you a bright pullover person? I’d love to hear any favorite outfit combos!
