Travel Stocking Stuffers

I have 60+ ideas over in the 2025 $5 Travel Gift Guide that would make amazing stocking stuffers for any travel lover in your life. There are suggestions for all ages and types of travel! There are also a bunch of ideas in this $5 travel-themed Easter basket list, as well as the 2024 $5 Travel Gift Guide.

There are tons of ideas over there and I can’t pick a favorite, so be sure to head over for $5 travel gifts people will actually use!

Gifts Under $25

Mini Snap Back Travel Blanket

We absolutely love these little blankets and they are amazing for travel. They’re super thin and packable but also are insulated so get toasty warm. My favorite part is that they snap in the back so they actually stay on you hands free on a plane or in a car or sitting at a game. The mini size is perfect for kids or anyone who wants a really small, packable option. Plus, it’s a lovely small family business, and the code PASSPORT stacks with their sale!

Best Travel Earrings

These are my VERY FAVORITE earrings – I wear them 99.9% of the time in general, but absolutely always for travel because they’re so comfy, lightweight, and don’t tarnish – this means I wear them sleeping, swimming, showering, etc, and never need to take them out (and risk losing them in a hotel). So may cute styles, but the huggies are my very favorites. This is another small business and my discount code is PREETHI.

Packable Beach Towels

I adore these beach towels because they’re super lightweight and packable but still REALLY absorbent (they’re the same brand as the kitchen towels I’m obsessed with). They also shake sand off really easily. Would be a great gift for a beach lover, or grab a beach blanket if gifting to a family. My code PREETHI stacks on top of their sale!

Airalo Unlimited eSIM

If you have on your gift list a super practical person with some upcoming travel, an unlimited eSIM is the perfect, super useful gift. You can choose by country or region, and it has a 90-day activation, so it’s great if they’re not traveling immediately. Such a useful travel gift (they’re 25% off for Black Friday!)!

Water-Resistant Waist Pack

This has been my go-to bag ever since I got it about 6 months ago. It’s roomy but low-profile and lightweight with several different zippers and pockets (it even fits my mini water bottle). Plus, it’s water resistant and dries in a flash if it gets wet. I love it! (The link for some reason always goes to the print versions, but just search the name after clicking the link and the solid colors should come up.)

Inflatable Footrest

Not all airlines allow these, but when they do, they can be so great for allowing little ones to stretch out to sleep and get comfortable.

Skillmatics Travel Games

These are some of our family’s favorite games for travel especially, but also at home. These would make great gifts for little travelers! My discount code is PREETHI18668, or you can also also find them on Amazon. My kids also adore the foil fun craft kits they have!

Basic High Quality Earbuds

If you know a traveler who isn’t fancy but does like function, these earbuds are my favorites for exactly that purpose. They’re really affordable (under $20!) but stay in and have good sound quality for the price. Plus, I love that they have a wristband so it makes it a little less likely that I’ll misplace them. I use and love these (got them after misplacing my more expensive ones and have stuck with them even after officially writing off the old ones as lost).

Owala Water Bottle

These water bottles are incredibly popular, and with good reason. I love the cute colors and the fact that the hook flips up so it’s easy to clip onto a bag or a stroller. We have a few of these and they always come along on our travels or local adventures.

Tough Cutie Socks

Amazing merino wool socks that are soft but structured and also supportive, and are a Black woman-owned business? Yes. Love them. They’re on super sale!

Kid Undies

These are the only undies my 11 year old will wear – and I love them for travel because they’re comfy and dry super fast, and are also thin so are really packable. Would make a great stocking stuffer! Mom-owned business, too. My code is PASSPORT.

Fussy Deodorant

I absolutely LOVE this natural deodorant – it’s the only one I’ve found that actually works. Plus, I adore that the plastic case is refillable and the refills are completely compostable. They come in lovely scents, and the minis are particularly great for travel. They also have body wash and body bars. My code is PREETHI15.

Tablet Holder for Car

Perfect for any road trip!

Mini Chargers

I love this two-pack of mini portable chargers. Can never have too many.

Bike U-Lock

We love these locks and have multiple of them. Super sturdy and easy to use to protect your bike!

Best Mineral Sunscreen

This is our family’s absolute favorite sunscreen – it’s so smooth, mineral-based, and doesn’t leave a white cast. Plus, it’s amazing for sensitive skin and protects really well! We also absolutely love their all-over ointment, bath products, and more. All fantastic for babies, sensitive skin, or anyone else.

Card Games

We absolutely LOVE so many of Grandpa Beck’s games and I love that it’s still a small family business. They’re perfect and easy to carry for taking along on a trip! Discount code PASSPORT.

LPF Guides

If you know someone who will be traveling to Yosemite or to London during festive season, my guides are super comprehensive for families and hopefully make planning so easy. Discount code LPF50 through Dec 1!

Family Travel Gifts Under $50

Inflatable Booster

I love that these little boosters make it easy to take them along when traveling to keep kiddos safe but don’t take a ton of room. They’re extensively tested and we’ve loved ours for years.

Period Cup

A menstrual cup truly changed travel for me – it made it sooo much more pleasant to travel when on my period. I really love the Saalt cups and the fact that they’re a small business. They also have discs, period underwear, and more. Code PASSPORT.

Affordable, Packable Rain Jacket & Pants

When I was looking for a more affordable version of my favorite rain jacket, I chose this one due to the fantastic reviews and realized it’s the same one that Dan has had the men’s version of for years (and loved it so much, he went looking for it in our storage in the US this summer after realizing he’d forgotten to bring his to London). It’s super waterproof and really packable, but also very affordable. It’s a great one! I recently got the women’s rain pants, as well, and they’re equally fantastic. While it doesn’t have a couple of the extras my nicer jacket does (like pit zips and an extra large hood), it’s a fantastic jacket, especially for the price. Plus, I love that it packs away in a stuff sack easily!

Everywhere Ground Mat

While we love Rumpl’s puffy blankets, we REALLY love their Everywhere Mat. It’s waterproof and easy to clean, folds up really small, and perfect for stashing in the car or to take along on a hike to sit on. I love that it’s a bit thicker so it makes it more comfy when sitting on the ground. Would be a terrific gift for an outdoorsy person or family.

Bubbsi Minis

These mini bottles of our very favorite dry weather creamy coconut oil-based bath wash and the coconut balm I’m obsessed with are darling. Plus, the conditioner is all I use on my hair – it’s amazing for thick, dry hair! It’s also a BIPOC-owned small biz.

Travel Gifts Under $100

Travel Blanket

I needed to add the bigger version of this blanket in this section because we love them so much! The bigger Ultrapack is great for an adult, or the Layover is even nicer with foot and hand pockets. Either way, they’re a fantastic gift for someone who travels but likes to pack minimally. Really love this small business. Discount code PASSPORT.

Lined Travel Pants

I’ve loved the regular version of these pants for years, but tried the lined ones last year, and they’re just as fantastic. Warm and comfy for winter, but still dry really fast, have a stretchy waistband, and are really versatile.

Cadence Customizable Travel Systems

I love these little travel containers that magnet together and come in different sizes (and bags for them) so you can customize what works for you for each trip. Would be a great gift for someone who travels frequently and likes having their own stuff along with them.

Super Soft Merino Wool Base Layers

We’ve used a lot of different kinds of merino base layers, and these are some of our favorites. I love that they’re a small, woman-owned business, and that there are thumb holes to keep the arms in place. Super soft and comfy items for the whole fam that come in lots of fun colors. They also have lots of other great merino items like dresses, undies, mid layers, nursing items, and more. Discount code LOCALPASSPORTFAMILY.

Thousand Bike Helmet

Dan gifted me this helmet several years ago and I still love it. The founder created the company because after losing a friend to a bike accident, she wanted to make helmets that looked good so people would actually be happy to wear them. It’s a wonderful small business that is also really functional. We love both their adult and kid helmets.

Lightweight Hiking Carrier

This awesome little carrier was created by a mom who wanted an easier way to get her toddler up and down when hiking. It attaches right onto a backpack, so it’s super low profile and perfect for kids who want to rotate between walking and riding. I love it for travel, too! Discount code PASSPORT.

Kid Waterproof Boots

These have been our go-to kid boots for over 5 years and we still adore them. They’re sturdy but super comfortable and our kids use them alllll the time not just for hiking. They’re great for walking around in cold weather, and especially in wet winters since they’re waterproof. Absolutely love these, and the sale price ALMOST puts these in the under $50 section!

Travel Gifts Under $200

Massage Gun

This is the holy grail of massage guns, and a great option for a traveler who does a lot of sleeping on planes or different locations.

Ride Safer Vest

We first purchased one of these vests when our oldest was 3 – over a dozen years ago! It’s amazing for traveling because it’s just as safe as a high-back booster, but is super lightweight for carrying and fits easily in even the slimmest of seats. Great for taxis or if renting a car to keep little ones safe. Plus, the owner is the loveliest person. Discount code PASS2025.

Splurge Gifts for Traveling Families

Super Warm Duvet Coat

This coat is definitely a splurge but if you’re traveling anywhere cold, it’s absolutely wonderful. I love that it’s full length so keeps even my legs warm and dry (it’s waterproof). I bought mine on sale but would absolutely purchase it full price and be thrilled about it.

Big Bike Rack

It’s kind of tricky finding a bike rack that fits enough for a family, and this is a terrific one that fits 6 bikes. Super high quality and sturdy. This is another great one for 4 bikes.
